Apologies!

Wow...it's been so long since I looked at this blog and wrote in it! One of my new year's resolutions is to improve my communication skills, especially with those who are dearest to me. I will post more pics of my travels and other happenings on here. I miss my London girls!

First Time In Kenya

Safari beckoned and I heeded the call. It was my first visit to Kenya and to the African continent and I intended to make it as memorable as possible.

After a 20-hour travel from Manila, I arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 3 in the afternoon. Immediately, I felt the biting cold which was completely opposite of what I was expecting. I thought East Africa would be humid.

During the twenty-minute drive from the airport to the Savora Panfric Hotel, the hotel driver explained that the unpredictable weather is due to 'globalization'. Driving through Mombasa Highway which connects the airport to Nairobi town center, I had the feeling that I was in Northern Philippines circa 1980.

A promising start!

While some people are pretending to be working on their dissertation... I watch as this little baby come out in the open for all three mothers to nurture and nourish.

As I have about 4000 photos on my iPhoto all itching to be posted (ok, maybe not all...), what better way to start this blog than putting up a photo from a recent escapade with the two co-contributors in this blog!
